Snow Valley Update

UPDATE: 2/5 | 1:00pm

All Southern California resorts are sold out this weekend. What does this mean? Snow Valley is going to be busy! Expect longer than usual lift lines, traffic, and limited capacity.

To ensure you have a good time on the slopes this weekend, please arrive early. Maximize your time on the mountain and (hopefully) skip the traffic on the way up by arriving an hour before the resort opens. If you can’t make it that early, it is in your best interest you arrive within the first hour that the resort is open as parking at Snow Valley is limited. Once the parking lot is full, Snow Valley will not accept any skiers/snowboarders for the day.

Follow these tips to have a great time at Snow Valley this season!

  • Weekdays are less crowded, parking is plentiful, and the lines are almost non-existent! Play hooky from work and take some turns!
  • Weekends & Holidays: Arrive early! If you plan on riding during a peak day, just plan on getting there early. What is early? Arrive at Snow Valley within the first hour of when they open (or earlier).
  • Parking is limited at Snow Valley. Arrive early on busy days to ensure you have a parking space. There are plenty of parking spaces available within the first hour of operations.
  • Carpool: We know there are no friends on powder days, but lets save some gas and hop in a friends car to ensure parking availability. Be mindful of COVID-19 and only carpool if both parties have quarantined for the appropriate two week window and wear a mask.
  • If you cannot make it within the first hour of operations, there is still a chance of getting on the hill. Take a look at our blog as we will continuously update members on conditions or future parking restrictions if applicable.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate these unprecedented times. We have offered this deal to our members for 10 seasons and this past Saturday was the only time we’ve encountered an issue with capacity and don’t anticipate it being a regular occurrence. By following the steps outlined above, we believe the rest of the season will go off without a hitch!

As always, have a great time on the slopes!

UPDATE: 2/2 | 7:00pm

Good evening SnowJam Members!

Last Friday (1/29), due to county COVID regulations and a massive storm cell that would blanket the resort in 3 feet of snow, Snow Valley informed us that they could reach capacity on Saturday.  We took it upon ourselves to get the message out to all SnowJam Members that Snow Valley would likely sell out of SnowJam discounted lift tickets. Well, around 10am on Saturday, Snow Valley notified us that they were in fact nearing capacity.

We met with Snow Valley to discuss the factors involved so that we could better serve our members.

  1. Snow: With the massive amount of snow at the resort, Southern California residents wanted to take advantage! Tons of people packed up their cars and drove up to all So Cal resorts, including Snow Valley.
  2. COVID-19 Capacity Restrictions: These restrictions are mandated by the county to ensure guest safety.
  3. Parking: The snow storm reduced the amount of parking spaces available at the resort.

Here are our updated tips moving forward to ensure you are able to get on the slopes this season with the SnowJam Membership!
